TWEWY Final Remix: Beat Day 3 Part 1: Reaper Creeper Weeper
Neku & Beat were right in the middle of their wild goose chase in A-East against Week 3's Game Master, Mitsuki Konishi.
But right when it seemed that they would finally catch her, Day 2 suddenly ended, and catapulted the two Players right back to the Scramble Crossing to kick off Day 3!
Beat wanted to head back to A-East to find Konishi again, but Neku knew better than to think that she was just gonna stay there waiting for them, and he wasn't even 100% sure if Konishi really was hiding in A-East that whole time. He instead suggested to Beat that they should look for the Iron Maiden elsewhere with the Keypin they got from 777 before he got erased. Beat was in a panic, because he was running out of time before being automatically erased.
Uzuki showed up to taunt Beat again, especially with that particular Pin of the Noise that rode on Beat's shoulder. Looks like Konishi gave it to her, and made her a substitute GM for the day. As a deal, if Beat & Neku can complete Uzuki's 60 minute mission, she'll give them back the Pin.
But... when Uzuki told Beat her mission, something of Reaper Sport 4, the name of that sport was drowned out by Beat suddenly sneezing. It was loud enough for Neku to not hear what Uzuki said, and she didn't help matters by repeating the mission.
(BUUUUUUT... if you pause at JUUUUUUST the right time, you can see this through the text. But let me just keep it vague, okay?)
Whatever Uzuki said, Beat saw it as a call to chase after her and fight her off for that Pin.
----------
When asked by Neku about the Reaper Spurt, I mean Reaper Sport 4 mission, Beat was pushed to believe that it equaled to playing Reaper Creeper, but Neku couldn't entirely believe him.
A business man was down on his luck, so he turned to Reaper Creeper to give him some answers, despite have some amount of hesitation about it; talking as if he was too addicted to it.
The man left in a huff, and through a wall that the two Players couldn't breach.
----------
If you check 104, Neku & Beat will spot Uzuki, who was looking as if she was trying to get the two to chase after her for some reason. This will happen in different areas, top, but she wasn't a priority to them, right now.
She went past Makoto, who looked to be down in his own misfortunes. His once proud Shadow Ramen has faltered in sales, so he had to close up shop. Now he's back in a state of misery.
The Prince tried to cheer him up and encouraged him about Shibuya's passion for trends.
----------
Take note that lesser Reapers are still gonna try and hunt you down for Beat's betrayal as you travel through different parts of Shibuya.
----------
Uzuki will even pop up in AMX, just running off again, as if she really wanted those two to go after them. Beat had another sneeze attack, and then they went on their way to find that business man.
(There was a time skip at 29:50 because my recording borked itself again, and I really wanted to try and compromise that. Check the game's clock before and after the AMX cutscene to see what I mean.)
----------
Neku & Beat will ultimately find the business man in the Tipsy Tose Hall. Turns out he's Makoto's ex-boss, and Makoto, himself, also encountered him there.
Makoto quit his boss' job to run his own business, but all did was bring him more shame. He sought for his Boss' advice on what to do next.
Here, you can choose whether or not you manipulate Reaper Creeper or not. I actually chose to pass it down, and if you do that, Neku leaves the boss to see Reaper Creeper not doing anything for him.
But this might be the best outcome, storywise, because this convinced the Boss to stop letting Reaper Creeper give him solutions when he can just make his own.
The Boss turned back to Makoto to remind him of his past work - his past self - and suggested to Makoto to ask his past self how he should move forward.
This lifted Makoto's spirits and made him realize what he needed to do with himself now. Likewise, Boss Man quit on Reaper Creeper once and for all.
But... as for Beat and Neku, this means they couldn't complete their mission.
But Neku had enough, and needed to confront Beat about the mission itself...
