Everyone, bar none, wants to find that special someone that will be so perfectly compatible that you will live together in harmony for the duration.

This special someone we call soul mate or twin flame (although some claim they are two different things.

Is such an ideal real?
Is such a thing possible?
If it is, why does it seem impossible to find?
Good questions.

I am not going to get all spiritual on you and tell you that you are really looking for your true self or God or Buddha nature.

It's true but it's not the whole story.

What we all seek is a real sense of fulfillment, right here on the good ol', 3D earth.


One thing we do need to dispose of is the idea that our perfect other will be perfect. Even the deepest compatibilities have rough edges, conflicts and even the most endearing characteristic can become an annoying quirk.

In essence I would say this. Twin Flames or Soul Mates or Twin Souls (whatever you want to call it can be realized but only for the spiritually mature. The real problem is that we have not developed the kind of heart opening wisdom that allows us to be fully present with someone, in all of their various forms.

Romantic love is sustained only by awakened spiritual love.
