Twitch and the DMCA Suggestion
681G'day all MrPaladin here.
When I first heard about this problem I did a stream on the Twitch channel. But I edited it down so y'all can understand why this is a problem and why we need one of the big streaming services to fight for us!
Getting a little tired of every streaming service being over backwards to side with the Music Industrial Complex instead of finding a reasonable solution (like how about a small portion of the advertising generated from a clip with music is given to the music artist!)
It is not like we are going "Hey today I'm going to stream Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up".... ohh and there's some TF2 that noone cares about in the background!
In response to content creators Twitch in all their wisdom was ~well if you don't want to be strike-d you should mute the music!!!~
Lets show why that would be a stupid idea... and instead lets work with streamers to make a suitable solution to make the best platform in the world?!?!?!? Or do like YouTube Gaming did and close down...
