Twitter Direct Message (DM) Spam
36In this video, I discuss DMs in Twitter which have recently become a spam garden for many. New features are added to Twitter daily by third parties, but a new feature called "auto-follow" which enables you to automatically reciprocate. The issue with this, is that this auto-follow often has a feature which allows you to send a canned DM message. This feature is being abused by many as they are throwing their links into the messages. It is annoying Twitterers far and wide. Thankfully, SocialToo (a service which offers auto-follow) has implemented measures to automatically block these automatic DMs. TweetLater is also providing a similar service.
