This vehicle, emblematic of the site's success, is now en route to a buyer in Dubai. The Panamera, a key product at this location, has been integral to the site's growth since its introduction in 2009.
The Leipzig factory has undergone significant evolution over the years. Initially, the Panamera was assembled and painted within the Porsche Group. However, the expansion of this facility into a comprehensive manufacturing plant in 2013 marked a turning point, enabling complete production, from body construction to final assembly. This development not only solidified the Panamera as a product of Leipzig but also set the stage for future automotive projects and sustained growth.
Today, the Leipzig plant is a pivotal economic force in Central Germany, providing over 4,400 jobs.
