The best way so far that worked was with SD3D! Let the video speak for itself.
There was one problem where I had to change the mouse cursor in windows to be completely transparent. Then 3d should also only be activated when you are in game because the difference between the launch areas and game is drastically different so it will break your eyes. Presets would be very helpful here.

After that it all worked like a charm and got very immersive. Just like the original classic, Theme Hospital. Very light and peaceful game.
