An intense lightning and thunderstorm has accidentally powered up Tyler, a miniature robot created by its human owner. But it appears the humans are gone and Tyler has free roam to explore the house all to himself! But beware, for with old abandoned houses comes large packs of spiders. Luckily, Tyler is armed with a knife in order to fight his way through the creepy crawlers.
In the tutorial level, learn the basic mechanics of Tyler's movements: running, climbing, wall jumping, and more. Is there anything this little robot can't do? Also learn the combat methods of slashing through hordes of spiders and hitting Matrix-style combos.
Tyler is solar powered, thus the player must keep Tyler in the light as much as possible. Luckily, various light sources are available such as the sun, ceiling lamps, and lanterns spread around a room. Batteries can be found laying around, which also provide a boost of power and restore any lost health.
Climbing up chairs, shelves, boxes, and more to find hidden objects as well as items required to progress the story. Certain items can be used towards Tyler's skill tree, allowing him to level up and gain stronger abilities. Upon each level up, Tyler receives a bolt, which he can put towards the skill tree to unlock a card. Each card contains items that can be found through exploration and put toward level up powers.
After the tutorial, Tyler awakens on a desk in the basement in 1955. He must locate a fuse somewhere in the room to provide power to some of the electronics. Then he'll need to find the basement key to move on to another part of the house. Perhaps they'll be on a shelf somewhere? Only one way to find out!
Once out of the basement, Tyler finds that he's not alone in the house. Another robot named Comrade requires Tyler's assistance retrieving some oil. But first that means Tyler must explore the living room
This alpha edition also hints at the ability to customize the look and feel of Tyler during future updates to the game. Yet another great reason to explore and collect items along the way. I locate a series of hats, a hairstyle, and even a VR headset!
During this early development stage, the game has partial controller support. Keyboard use is required to interact with some items and menus.
