Notes posted outside of Sam's room clearly indicate that she was ready to take on the role of becoming an adult. It would make sense that she took steps to escape and runaway in order to get more freedom. But was she perhaps running away for another reason? And audio entry from Sam's journal tells of her introduction to her classmates. Then, was it love at first sight as Sam recounts her first impressions of Lonnie.
A storm warning continues to be in effect for the foreseeable future as thunder rattles outside. The living room TV blares the warning and the room itself gives off an eerily-alone vibe. Artifacts from the 90s are found. As is a book on hauntings and possessions, likely Sam's. Now what could she need that for?
Katie rummages through her Dad's writing room after finding the combination to a locked cabinet drawer. The nearby library contains more secrets and hidden panels. It soon becomes clear that Sam's interests in the paranormal are quite strong.
Katie's dad Terrance had been struggling to find success with his latest book publishing of John F. Kennedy. This no doubt caused great strain on him and the rest of the family.
