The Heavens to Betsy cassette tape case in the sewing room contains a set a numbers that might come in handy as Katie gets one step closer to breaking into Sam's private locker. Additional wall panels contain hidden objects such as a combination lock instructions and a Ouija board. Sam's hobby of trying to speak to the dead had no doubt been serious.

Once Katie retrieves the basement key, she heads down to explore and sift through storage boxes and memos. Here is where many of Sam's diary audio logs kick in, conveying the ever growing bond between her and Lonnie. Katie even stumbles upon a note detailing their sexual encounter, bow-chica-wow-wow. But their relationship may soon be threatened as life catches up to the duo.

Katie's discovers that her mother, Janice, got a promotion at work. But that doesn't necessarily have a positive effect on Sam and the rest of the family. Is Ranger Rick trying to make a move on Janice by inviting her to a concert? She's married...and he's got a girlfriend. The plot thickens.

Sam finally comes out to her parents, admitting her lesbian relationship to be true. How will they react?
