Welcome To XboxBG

Stepping into the Octagon is a fully immersive experience of artistry, brutality, and an unrelenting war to win. That's the authentic feeling of mixed martial arts we've been working to capture with EA SPORTS™ UFC® 5. For the first time in franchise history, UFC 5 is powered by the Frostbite™ engine. That massive step up in graphics capabilities unlocks a whole new level of realism, including authentic damage, enhanced fighter likenesses, new striking and grapple animations, and more.

The Frostbite™ engine also makes a significant impact on the quality of characters and environments, with advanced rendering features, including dual orb, skin, and ice shading and strand-based hair. We've also updated all of the fighter body types in the game, combining them with industry leading facial animation technology. With all of these upgrades, UFC 5 looks as authentic as it plays.

While the art of mixed martial arts is something to behold, it does come with consequences. And in UFC 5, those consequences can be nasty.

With the all-new Real Impact System, cuts, bruising, and swelling accumulate in accurate locations on the body and have a realistic effect on gameplay. Authentic Damage impacts your fighter's attributes during every fight. So if your fighter has a cut bleeding into his eye, it will lower defensive abilities on that side of the body. And if he takes one too many kicks to the left leg, he will start to limp and mobility will decline.

Sometimes the fighting spirit is more durable than the body holding it, working hand in glove with Authentic Damage. This brings us to the other side of the Real Impact System: Doctor’s Checks & Stoppages. Just like in the Octagon, if your fighter takes serious damage, the ref might call in the doctor to check on him. Once he’s cleared to keep fighting, you're going to have to switch up your strategy on the defensive end to protect that hurt area and keep the fight from getting stopped. In the same way, you’ll need to make the most of your opponent's injury and the strategy he adopts to protect it to try and get the fight stopped. Doctor stoppages are also relatively rare, so they won't feel intrusive; they’re just a fun new wrinkle in the action.

While every fight starts on the feet, it will be just as fun to tangle on the ground. The new Seamless Submission system levels up the ground game in UFC 5. In previous EA SPORTS UFC titles, submissions have been built on lengthy multi-stage animations with a variety of hard minigames. The Seamless Submission system removes the minigames completely and functions as an extension of the overall ground game. This delivers a much faster and far more intuitive experience, keeping the action on the ground as fresh and fluid as the rest of the fight.

Plus, we've added improved interactions with the referee in ground and pound stoppages and added the ability to go to a draw on the judges’ scorecards. We really wanted to fine tune these authentic details of the game because the subtleties can make all of the difference.

Fight Week is an all-new series of features and challenges that sync with real-world fight events to bring you more content and rewards than ever before.

In the week leading up to and after all of the biggest UFC events, players will have access to limited-time fight week challenges. These challenges give players the opportunity to unlock rewards inspired by those events, including new Alter Egos, created fighter Vanity Items, player profile customization assets, and fighter emotes.

From looks to abilities, all-new Alter Egos let you play as your favorite fighters in their authentic career-defining moments (i.e. a fighter’s iconic UFC debut, when they captured the title, and more), along with Alter Egos that can only happen in UFC 5.

Play the game to earn your way through a set of predetermined rewards, including in-game currency, player profile customizations, created fighter Vanity Items, and Alter Egos. In addition, completing Profile Challenges rewards players with XP that levels up their Punch Card’s earning capability.

All-new Online Career mode includes skill-based matchmaking, division progression, and title chases across four divisions. Players can compete with a different Created Fighter in each division, allowing players to showcase multiple character customizations and Vanity Items.
