Trivia: Clach Bhuaidh are the stones of virtue (or victory) carried into battle.

I wanted this remix to transition from a traditional remake to one that accurately represents the state of fantasy/rock music at the time the game was released, and I wanted that transition to be seamless - like waking up in another world. I also couldn't help but instill it with a bit of my signature funky groove. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did making it.

Ultima VI: The False Prophet is the final act of the Age of Enlightenment trilogy. In it, along with the help of some familiar faces, you face an invading race of gargoyles trying to prevent a prophecy that spells their doom. It is up to you once again to save Britannia.

This title was the first in the series to benefit from the then brand-spanking-new VGA technology. The entire game adopts a single scale where everything in the game takes place instead of the various perspective and sub-map changes of previous titles when traveling between locations, or in battle. It also was able to offer portraits of NPCs for the first time.

The game was well-received at the time of release and was ported across many systems. It has since been remade a few times. You can get the original game as part of a 3 pack of the Age of Enlightenment trilogy on GOG.com presently for $5.99.

Lyrics for Stones (by Kathleen Jones):

Long ago ran the sun on a folk who had a dream
And the heart and the will and the power:
They moved earth; they carved stone; moulded hill and channeled stream
That we might stand on the wide plains of Wiltshire.

Now men asked who they were, how they built and wonder why
That they wrought standing stones of such size.
What was done 'neath our shade? What was pray'ed 'neath our skies
As we stood on the wyrd plains of Wiltshire.

Oh what secrets we could tell if you'd listen and be still.
Rid the stink and the noise from our skirts.
But you haven't got the clue and perhaps you never will.
Mute we stand on the cold plains of Wiltshire.

Still we loom in the mists as the ages roll away
And we say of our folk, "they are here!"
That they built us and they died and you'll not be knowing why
Save we stand on the bare plains of Wiltshire.
