E3M2 (Episode 3 Mission 2: Slough of Despair) - 100% Walkthrough

Hey retrogamers!

Welcome back to watch another 100% Doom Episode! Let’s continue with the second mission of episode 3. Like I mentioned in the previous episode, I am playing the Ultimate Doom version of Doom, which is pretty much the same game, only it has one additional episode.

But let’s get down to business!

I really don’t like the second mission. It’s really easy to miss items because there are so many alcoves and around the corner hideouts. There are 3 secrets in total in this chaotic stage.

1. In the "thumb" is a small lava pit. Walk over it to lower a nearby wall, revealing a Chaingun.

2. At the end of the slalom maze is an arrow on the floor pointing to a switch. There is no way you can miss it. Flip it to get a soul sphere.

However, there is another switch which I believe does not count as a secret but is really easy to miss. There is a triangular blue pillar which rises when you start picking up items around it. On one side of the pillar there is a switch which opens a wall on the left of the switch, and behind this wall you can find some nice goodies. I actually missed it like three times.

3. Close to the triangular blue pillar there is a rock shaped like an arrow. It is really easy to see it if you look at the Automap. But you can see it even without, if you know where to look. Open the wall this arrow is pointing to. Inside is a plasma rifle and a Medikit.

Be prepared to wonder aimlessly between the rocks because it is easy to miss enemies and items.

There you go! Thanks for watching. See you in the next episode!
