This is a relatively short game, and can be completed in 5 hours or less. It consists of drinking coffee, driving your submersible around the ocean, and doing various tasks for a petroleum corporation. You can pick up plastic, clean up oil, and take some photos of things if you want - but these are mostly unnecessary.
The story itself is... Well, it's a story about how corporations can't be bothered to follow proper safety protocols and the dangers of being in a state of pure isolation when your mind is obviously not in a great place. The strange dream-like worlds you'll experience are obviously dreams to the player, yet our character seems to struggle with it. There's an obvious disconnect between us and them, and I do wish they'd of done a better job with this part. Overall I feel like the story really fails to capture any real sense of caring for the character or your mission.
The game loop is there, although it feels rather minimal. The ocean is pretty large but there's little incentive to actually explore. There are cool things to find, but it ultimately doesn't contribute in any sensible way to the story, adventure, or ending. The submersible is a blast to play though. The on-foot sections are much slower and borderline irritating at times.
Voice acting is superb. Sound effects and music are great, and the music alone was enough to make me happy with this purchase.
Graphically the game is beautiful. The ocean really does feel alive with the various sea life in the game. The environments are cleverly crafted and there were only a few times I felt lost or disoriented.
While the game never sucked me in, it was certainly an experience I'm glad I had. I'd suggest waiting for a sale.
