Underhero is a Castlevania like game, that doesn't take itself too serious.
You start the game as an underling of an Evil Lord, that tries to stop the hero from entering it's Lair. The other Underlings talk about doing your job and the other one how you're just cannon fodder.
Despite all odds your trap actually kills the hero.
You pick up the talking sword of the hero and hide it. Your Boss "The Evil Lord" is impressed and orders you to bring back some important gemstones to the bosses. They usually just give these stones away to the hero, when they get defeated. Now that the hero isn't anymore, they need to get the stones back, for the next occasion.

And here starts the game.

Underhero plays like a 2D - Sidescrolling Platformer, the battles work in a timed battle way.
Basically a stamina bar that slowly regenerates and every action you do uses stamina. The Enemies attack mostly with bigger breaks, so you got enough time to regain your stamina and to block or dodge enemies attacks.
You can also bribe the most enemies, which ends the battle.
After each battle you get xp, but winning a battle by bribing gives you less xp.
