Spark the Electric Jester 3 is finally here but sadly it's not in 4D.
Little joke, since Spark 1 is a 2D Sidescrolling Platformer, Spark 2 is a 3D Third Person Platformer so Spark 3 should've been a 4D Platformer :D.

But that aside

Spark the Electric Jester 3 is a 3D Third Person Platformer, following the Formula, that the 3D Sonic games where doing (Real 3D, like in Sonic Adventure). The game is fast paced, nearly a race through the big stages, but you can also take your time to explore, collect bits and actual Exploring Medals. This is great, you can play the stage in the way that you like and it even incentivize to do so.

Now for the part i don't like and i'm not sure if that changes for later stages.
So instead of going from stage to stage, you also unlock challenge Stages, which have a goal like collecting an amount of Medals, collecting Points, Beating a stage in a certain time and then you have stages that are basically tutorials, how to move and play with Spark.
This would be all nice and fine, if it wasn't mandatory. To unlock new (let's call them) Story Mode Stages, you need a certain number of Stars. If you beat a Story Mode Stage or a Challenge Stage, you get 1 Star. So you have to play these Challenge Stages, to get enough stars for the Story Mode Stages.

But thats not too big of a deal. I just wished that these Challenge Stages are Optional, and maybe unlocks some gimmicks or Rewards you with Bits.

Bits are the currency in the Game. You need them to unlock new Moves, Powers or Enhance your existing abilities. This feature is nice, since it brings you back, to replay an older stage, maybe to find all the exploration medals and grab as many bits as you like.
