Gamedec can be compared to Shadowrun. Which is basically a Top-Down Adventure with Battle Elements and level ups. So far i didn't encounter a battle system, but you still have a level up system and this works in the following way.
Speaking with the people often shows multiple choices to answer to the NPC, based on some answers you get a point in Power, Intelligence, Logic or Heart (Empathy). You can spend these points on Professions. Professions essentially unlock "Positive" Dialogue Options, which positive i mean that they bring you further, you get the informations you want to. But you don't get all the same informations through these unlocked dialogue options, so you still need to choose.

The world of Gamedec is basically a society that mastered VR Gaming and with this new World there is also crime that happens in this world. So you're a Gamedec a Game Detective and you get hired to explore and follow certain persons.
