It's no mystery that Indie games are quickly becoming my favorite games of all time.
Undertale in 2015 hit the #1 Indie Game spot on many of the top gaming review websites. Also since its release, Undertale has sold 1,786,025 copies according to steamspy. So this game must be good right? Well that is what I am going to find out and I will begin to form a hypothesis about the overall quality of the game.

I am also curious to find out if Undertale can overcome and dethrone Cave Story as my favorite Indie game of all time.
Developed and published by indie developer Toby "Radiation" Fox or just Toby Fox. The game was also written, designed and composed by creator Toby Fox, with additional art by Temmie Chang, and was released for Microsoft Windows and OS X on 15 September 2015.
Undertale also spelled as UnderTale or UNDERTALE, is a role-playing video game that uses a top-down perspective. In the game, players control a human child and must complete objectives in order to progress through the story. Players explore the underground monsters world and its towns and caves, and are required to solve numerous puzzles on their journey. The game has a large emphasis on the morality of killing and sparing the monsters encountered, as the player's actions determine what various ending they will receive. Also, Unlike most RPGs, it is possible to complete the game without ever killing a single monster.
The battle system in Undertale is turn-based with a mix of bullet-hell style games - where the protagonist's SOUL, represented by a red heart, must avoid attacks unleashed by the opponent. During the player's turn, they have the opportunity to fight the opponent, perform actions that can change the opponent's mood, use items, and show mercy by sparing the enemy if the correct actions are used. Killing an enemy will reward EXP and LV, but neither are given if they are spared; GOLD is earnt in both cases.
