Layman Abstract : This study looks at the challenges engineering students at the University of Antofagasta, Chile, face when learning a complex math technique called the method of undetermined coefficients, used to solve certain differential equations. Since many students struggle with this topic, researchers introduced interactive tools like GeoGebra applets to make learning more engaging and easier to understand. They also integrated artificial intelligence (DeepSeek) to help students find solutions more efficiently. These technological tools have significantly improved student learning, motivation, and engagement, making math education more modern and effective for future engineers.
