More magic! More quests! More bosses! Yea, today was a heck of a day. I was able to get armor that drastically reduced the damage from those rays. Which, honestly, almost seems like a cop-out. A manufactured answer to a problem that didn't need to exist. Though it did mean I was wearing armor that wasn't very good against melee. Which might have mattered if there were melee and ray enemies in the same place. Since there weren't, well, it ended up basically just being something I needed to swap at the right time. Maybe, MAYBE it have mattered against the boss, but his rays were so easy to dodge it didn't matter. Yea, the boss. The challenge mode for it is to win while having your life drained by vampire bats. 7 of them. THAT is a challenge, keeping healed that long, since the boss is not entirely easy to hit. Though he IS fairly easy to dodge, and the armor I had made his attacks do next to nothing. So a trade off, I guess. We're getting closer, bit by bit.
