This is Uninvited

The last game in the famous 'Macintosh Detective Trilogy', I think, which was ported over to NES. The first was Shadowgate, the second Déjà Vu, and the third is Uninvited.

Uninvited is a 'detective / text-based adventure game' where you crashed your car and your sister is mysteriously gone. Not far from where you crashed is a large mansion, and it has a very evil air about it.

That's the best I can think of to describe Uninvited in my rather tired state. It's a good, and scary game. The Game Over music makes my spine crawl, although not as much as Déjà Vu's gmae over music does.

Make no mistakes, this game will kill you, a lot.
