Part 2. This was an unexpected surprise. It very much is a Metal Gear spoof, right down to the voice actor that plays Fox. And it is pretty darn funny. It does lose some serious steam towards the back half and some of the jokes do fall flat and feel forced. The pixel art feels a lot like the 16-bit era. It makes me realize that I would have loved an SNES Metal Gear. The game is a ton of fun. I love the RPG experience system and allowing you to chose abilities with every level up. Some are clearly more helpful than others, but I like being forced to chose one or the other. The bosses are all pretty clever and have some sort of gimmick. I did absolutely hate the sub boss though and I was awful at driving the airboat. Otherwise it was a blast. Every level had something unique happening and a few secrets that were genuinely helpful like more health or the ability to carry more ammo. Love that stuff. The game also doesn't over stay its welcome. It's not too short but just the right amount of time. Enjoy my blind playthrough.
