Part 2. I didn't think it possible, but this game is better than the first in just about every way. The graphics are still jaw dropping. The environments are still beautiful and fantastical. The music still is very fitting. The voice acting is till on point. The characters actually have names now and there is some lore being built upon as well. Neat, I guess. It's still a collect-a-thon and there is still a light RPG mechanic for unlocking skills, which is great. The treasures no longer unlock game art, or anything really, they are just for collecting. The big changes come in control and abilities. The wizard is still largely the same, but the thief and knight now are more competent in combat. The combat still isn't all that good and has the same rules as the last game. If you die on a mini boss you keep your progress. On the plus side, there seem to be more than just straight platforming puzzles and they are more integrated as well. They are relatively simple, like how to water a plant, or get a bubble to move, or building pipes for flames, but it is clever and fun. The levels also seem longer. Not sure if that's just me, but they do seem to take longer to beat this time around. The DLC is also a full on other game and that is wonderful. The level design and aesthetics are even better in The Goblin Menace and the final boss is freaking great. This whole game is just a treat. Enjoy my playthrough.
