Game: Unreal Tournament 2004

Mod: Red Orchestra (version 3.3)

Game type: Tactical WWII First Person Shooter (Eastern Front conflict)

Map: RO-RedGodOfWar.ut2

Objective: Capture and hold possession of all points on the map

In Game Map Description:
Operation Mars: Tsitsina, November 1942.
Operation Mars was planned as a sister operation to Saturn, the counter-attack at Stalingrad. The target in this case was Model's 9th Army. Unlike 6th Army, the 9th was no easy target. Having sat in the Rzhev salient for almost a year, the German defenders were well entrenched and had ample mobile reserves. The result was a disaster for the Soviets.

The map is based on a night attack by the 35th Mechanized Brigade against the 2nd Luftwaffe Field Division. The Luftwaffe troops managed to put up a spirited defense, but were unable to stop the Soviet tanks, which rumbled up to the defenses and blasted the Germans at point blank range. After a sharp fight, the Germans melted in the woods surrounding the town. The Soviets had won the initial fight, but that was only the beginning....

Notes: Just me and some bots play this time with available tanks. The bots actually drive (try to) the tanks in this map. They have no regard while driving and often just jump out. If you are in-between your team and the enemy, good luck. Oh, and they will drive right over you :[
