Unrest - Final Fantasy IV #1
When people ask, "what is the best Final Fantasy game to start with," I go with two different options. FFX feels like a faster moving, story driven, flashy experience. However, for a very old school, no-frills option, I go with FF4. It was Square's first attempt at a more character driven experience. While the story and characters can wind up feeling basic or even silly at times, there are moments here that I will never forget. The music and gameplay are solid improvements on the FF formula, and this is what a class based, pseudo turn-based JRPG looks like.
I feel like a kid again every time I play this (or Free Enterprise), and I hope you enjoy it too.
