UPDATE - Dev Q&A w/ Nikita of BSG - Escape from Tarkov Dev Q&A Summary
594Today we heard from Nikita on the BSG forums with a Q&A post and some new details. No specifics on the update or the wipe yet but still some good info. Enjoy :)

When asked about what skills and perks would come next nikita said the next new skills will be related to the hideout but they are currently mainly working on the rewriting and re balancing of the current skills.
When asked about healing teammates, unconsciousness, dragging bodies in game nikita said perhaps but not in the near future.
Nikita said they will be tuning graphics such as LOD
Nikita confirmed the steyr aug is coming
When an exit is marked red nikita said it's because it's already been used - I'm going to add this though to be sure to check the exit even if it is red because sometimes it bugs. Just stand there for 10 seconds and see if it lets you out.
When asked how the BSG team was cooperating with the Unity team Nikita said there is a regular consultation and code review, they discuss the improvement of productivity and the unity team often makes special editor builds for the BSG team.
When asked about adding special counters for night vision and thermal optics such as smoke and suits nikita said these can easily be implemented.
When asked about the final vision of the map nikita said there will be gradual development and expansion until they all become one big location in a separate game mode and that user feedback affects this process.
Nikita said more language versions and translations of the game is in progress.
When asked about the future nikita said the dlc will combine complex additions, new locations, items, merchants, features, etc.
When asked about what nikita is most interested in working on he said it's all interesting but specifically the features that no one has ever implemented in games is most interesting to him.
When asked about privileged options such as players who reach level 40 being able to keep there stash and progress or even being able to change factions. Nikita specifically mentioned some kind of prestige system and that something like this will happen in the future if you get to the maximum level and reset your account.
Nikita said there is no time frame for the arena mode yet
Nikita confirmed again that steam audio will improve the directional sound in game
when asked about the addition of new ui buttons at the bottom of the screen nikita said it's not final and more will come
When asked about new events and quests nikita said various new quests and random events are planned at locations
Nikita said that free roam is still planned I think they mean open world but if this is referring to something else I am not sure what.
Nikita said the karma system will restrain some players in raids and make them think about the consequences. Karma will also give some bonuses for good actions and penalties for bad. Example being bad reputation with merchants
nikita said offline with friends is planned and they will need separate servers
more random tasks are scheduled, I think this meant to be said as daily and weekly tasks since I'm not sure what random refers to.
Along with the quick treatment system there will also be some added information after a raid. I think this is referring to more details about how you died and what kind of damage you did.
When asked about beginner tutorials nikita said basic training is planned and there will be a primary location for it but they will explicitly leave out many things because they want the players to figure it out on their own.
When asked about what he thinks about hardcore players nikita said the game is intended for hardcore players and it will develop further on the basis of this. He might not have known what deadlyslob and others do where they don't use currency or traders to play through the game but either way I think he was referring to specifically building the game for non casual shooter fans.
Nikita again confirmed there will never be any division by skill, level or group in eft
When asked about potential issues with battleye nikita said they constantly work with them for various improvements but that specifics should be brought up to the battleeye team.
Like I said I don't know if this was a replacement or a distraction from the announcement they were supposed to have this week I guess we'll have to wait and find out. Either way expect to see a summary of any updates they give here on the channel.
