Follow the steps below to update the maps on your Forerunner 945:
1. Download and install the Garmin Express software on your Windows and Mac computer.
2. Plug your Forerunner 945 into your computer using the USB charging cable.
3. Open the Garmin Express app and login to your Garmin Connect account.
4. In the Garmin Express app select add device and it should find your Forerunner 945
5. After a couple of minutes the app should automatically get the version of your maps on your Forerunner 945 and show any available updates.
6. If map updates are found select Install to install these map updates to your Forerunner 945.
7. During the installation do not unplug your Forerunner 945 from your PC
8. Once the map installation is complete unplug your Forerunner 945 from your PC. Your Forerunner 945 will now load the new maps, this can take several minutes.
