Update 9/25/19: Seems to keep happening with any new Windows Update that is being installed... sadly seems to be an ongoing problem and if you want to play RE5 or any DX9 games you will have to constantly uninstall the newest update :(

Update to my last video with the Specific Windows Update that is causing RE5 and DX9 game conflicts. "KB4512941"

Windows update installed this again and like clockwork made my RE5 Black Screen/Not Responding/Crash at Launch again.

Once again hope this helps but now I know its not just a fix for RE5 but any older game that uses DX9.

TLDR: I uninstalled the most recent 9/1/19 Windows update by going from Windows Update - View update History - Uninstall updates - Update for Microsoft Windows(sorry didn't write it down before I uninstalled)

Hey guys! I have been super ♥♥♥♥♥♥ for the last couple of days because when you feel like playing as Josh and taking people to Suplex city, my RE5 wouldn't load!

I did everything I could from reading articles here and all over the internet. I found that if I went to the beta GFWL and it would only load the DX10 ver not the DX 9 and since the Steam version is only DX9 I looked around on how to get the DX9 updated/installed on my PC.

I finally got to a forum where a guy said he went and uninstalled a a windows update because it messed with his ability to play DX9 games.

I noticed that I had a windows update on 9/1 and I went and gambled and uninstalled that since I tried everything else... BINGO! Now I am gaming as Josh taking Majinis to Suplex City!
