Updating a Lenovo ThinkStation P320 Tiny Using a FreeDOS Bootable USB (Ubuntu and Windows)
Creating a FreeDOS Bootable USB in Ubuntu or Windows 10 to update the BIOS in a Lenovo ThinkStation P320 Tiny. The BIOS Update in this video is shared with the ThinkCenter M910t, M910s, M910q, M910x and M710q models so instructions should be identical.
Instructions in this video should also be applicable to other 2013-2017 models although the name of the BIOS ROM may differ. For example ThinkStation P320, P310, E32, P300, E31 and ThinkCentre E93, M73p, M83, M93, M93p, M700 Tiny, M800, M900, M900x Tiny, E93, M73p, M83, M93, M93p, Edge 92, M82, M92 and M92p.
Installation of Software on Ubuntu:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gezakovacs/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install unetbootin
sudo apt-get install gparted
Commands for Unetbootin Bootable USB:
FreeDOS
C:
Dir
Flash2.exe IMAGESXX.ROM
Replace IMAGESXX.ROM with the name of your ROM.
