**UPDATE: There is a public petition to save this house since the Chatham-Kent Municipality has ordered Roy (the owner) to have it demolished within 14 days (issued in the Fall of 2022), nine years since I filmed this house back in 2013 (this video).
He has been given more time to get a Heritage Designation in order to save it, and there will be no demolition until a hearing is conducted.

According to Blackburn News, this house, The Guyitt House, has been abandoned since 1985 and built in 1845. Its considered fo be the most photograhed house in Canada. It was previously owned by Roy and Ethel Guyitt (purchased in 1908) who passed it along to their grandson, Roy Anderson, who currently owns it and maintains the property, but never maintained the house, only keeping it because it was his grandfather’s.

I didn't find the stairs going up to the second floor while I was filming, but did notice an area where they would be while watching the video later. I wouldn't have been able to explore upstairs anyway as there wasn't much of a floor left to walk on.
