SWTOR is 12 years old at the time of this publication. A few years ago, the developers started an upgrade process that slowly moves the game into a more tolerable state graphics-wise.

The starter worlds look much better now, the cinematics have also been improved and a lot of the recently released assets have high quality textures and cool visual effects worth staring at.

To take advantage of this, and to freshen up your gameplay experience, I have two recommendations: Change the camera distance and design a Minimalist UI.

Moving the camera closer to your character, will limit your view. But it will allow you to enjoy the visual effects on your Space Barbie (or... Space Ken!)

Remove or make transparent as many segments of your UI as possible. No matter what resolution you play on, you can always make the UI tinier and more compact.

When playing challenging endgame PvE group content or participating in PvP, having the camere close to your character is not a good idea. Same goes for the minimalist UI. You need as much data available to you when you are expected to make split-second decision.

I hope you find this useful. Maybe it will inspire you to replay one of your favorite origin stories or at least make it more fun when farming dailies.
