Here's how to Use Remote Desktop over LAN on Windows.

Here are the steps to use Remote Desktop to connect to another Windows PC on your local network:

On the Remote PC:

1. Open System Properties and go to Remote tab.

2. Click the checkbox to Allow remote connections to this computer.

3. Ensure the port 3389 is added to any firewall exceptions.

4. (Optional) Click Select Users and add user accounts allowed to remote connect.

On the Local PC:

1. Open Remote Desktop Connection via start menu search or run 'mstsc'.

2. Enter the remote PC's IP address and click Connect.

3. Enter the username and password of a remote account when prompted.

4. Accept any certificate warnings about the remote PC.

5. The remote desktop will now be displayed and you can control the remote PC.

Things to note:

- Both PCs need to be on the same local network.

- Remote access needs to be enabled on the target PC.

- The remote PC's firewall should not block port 3389.

- You'll need a user account on the remote PC to log in.

- For security, enable encryption in System Properties - Remote tab.
