So, do you have a Chromebook with a broken or damaged screen? If so, you may still be able to use it as desktop computer, basically a Chromebox.
Even with a damaged, broken or smashed screen, some Chromebooks can still be used on an external monitor or TV if that Chromebook has a HDMI video output or a USB C output that is also a USB C to HDMI output for video.
In this video I show how I connect my Chromebook with a damaged screen to a computer monitor using a USB C to HDMI video cable. This would be the exact same thing if you have a HDMI video output on your Chromebook.
I then use a wireless keyboard and mouse set which has a USB wireless receiver which I plug into one of the regular USB A ports on the Chromebook. You can also use wired keyboards and mice or even Bluetooth keyboards and mics, once you are logged into your Chromebook and are able to do Bluetooth pairing.
I also show a USB C hub which may be very useful if you have a limited amount of USB C ports. With a USB C hub you can have many devices connected to just one USB C port. Such as a HDMI video output for connecting to a monitor or TV, more USB A ports for connecting USB devices and peripherals, SD card readers, ethernet ports for wired internet connection and headphone and microphone sockets.
In fact, a USB C hub may be very useful for any compatible Chromebook whether it has a damaged screen or not.
Now to be clear this is not a video showing you how to fix a Chromebook with a broken screen. It's simply a video that shows how you may be able continue using a Chromebook with a damaged screen if it has the necessary video output.
