A University of Texas at Austin research team's latest project will help communities respond to severe weather events that jeopardize the water supply.

Emma Fan, an associate professor at UT's Cockrell School of Engineering, joined KVUE Midday to talk about the water purifying cup that transforms water from creeks into drinkable water.
