Valkyrie Profile 2 Silmeria Let's Play #03 Ch. 1 Defiers of the Gods! (PS2/PCSX2 HD) - (Remade Ep 2)
0In this part I'll be playing through the underground passage to Dipan. And unlike in the previous part I will skip all the cutscenes until the final one when we reach Dipan - as this video was recorded only due to me reading up on the game on the internet and finding out that I had missed out on one Einherjar in the Royal Underground Passage (Einherjars are the warriors of Odin that can join you when you find their weapons in the game,) and I had also gotten the wrong one from the first sword. It would seem that there are in total 40 Einherjar in this game, but you can only ever get 20 during one playthrough - certain weapons have one, others have two or three - the one chosen by the game is random - but there is a way to get the best one by simply refusing to materialize the weapon for at minimum 25 times. By doing this the most rare out of the einherjar and the strongest one wil join you.
Because of the restart of the game I had to grind all over again and level up each character just like I did in part 2 - but in this video I also found out that the Guardian Beast (the first boss) could be fought over and over to gain much more experience. I'll spend some time fighting the boss until each of my six characters are each at level 5 - in the other part I had only 5 characters and some where still at lvl 4 - plus I did overall much better in this video and didn't spend almost any of the items. The episode only has the final cinematic of the first chapter and will end at the same spot as part 2.
The third part of my new Let's Play of the PS2 game VALKYRIE PROFILE 2: SILMERIA, using the PCSX2 EMULATOR to play the game - I've been owning the PAL DVD of this title since 2008, and it's a game from 2006 - I've never finished the game before.
I used to have a Walkthrought (like a let's play but where you don't speak,) like back in 2008-2009 but sadly I did lose all the episodes (22 I think) and I did replay the first episode at 10:59 minutes/seconds and upload it to this channel like back in 2010-2011 but I never played more than that.
I've never finished this game before and I think it's about time that I do. The game is a tactical-RPG by Square-Enix - the same company behind the Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest games.
It's a very beautiful game for the Playstation 2. Unfortunately with the PCSX2 Emulator certain games require different settings in order to run properly. I did have big issues with this particular title as it had graphical errors and no matter what I tried it wouldn't be solved - instead I managed to make other games that worked fine before start to lag and such.. I were really about to pull my hair in frustration! But then finally I found a tool named "Launchbox" which allows you to run games directly through it (I am using a ROM-file because the DVD would lag in the cinematics and have the voice speak after or before the scenes - while the ROM didn't have this issue, I suspect the DVD has some scratches causing that) and the Launchbox can be found on a specific site if you search for it on Google - it allows you to install a configuration-utility for the PCSX2 Emulator which in turn allows you to download presets for each PS2-game before starting them so that you do not have to individually set-up every game - instead you click "download preset" and get it ready to be run immediately - I did need to add the PS4-controller buttons manually though.
So I'm using the version of PCSX2 for Win 7.
