Valve Index - Playing Oculus Home using Revive
I wanted to try to see if it would work running Oculus Home with Revive... and it does. Just not very well. This video makes it seem like the image is smooth and runs perfectly pretty much, but inside the headset it keeps being jittery. The image flickering from side to side. But still pretty surprising how well it works considering everyone seems to claim you cannot run it at all.
I used the Revive Injector to run the Home executable directly. A command like this:
"C:\Program Files\Revive\Revive\ReviveInjector_x64.exe" "C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-worlds\Home2\Binaries\Win64\Home2-Win64-Shipping.exe"
But these locations might not be the same for other people as these are the direct links to my installation locations.
I have made a ticket on the Revive Git to report this issue... since it might actually be something that can be solved and we might get to be able to run Oculus Home on non-Rift headsets using Revive :)
For this recording I was using the Valve Index with the Index controllers and two Valve Lighthouse 2.0 basestations. I am using some retractable ceiling hooks to keep the cable out of the way.
My computer is an i7 6700k, RTX 2080Ti and 16gb DDR4 RAM desktop PC. I used OBS Studio to record this with. Using a Logitech 720p webcam for the camera.
