Vanquish Boss Run - Part 5
After a little delay, let's head back to the Boss Run. Read the text in the beginning, and hopefully no one's gonna moan about being spoiled...
Anyway, for an end-game boss, Burns is not a pushover. Well, to say correctly: he is tolerable, but the Marines are not. They are the definiton of being cheaper without any logical reason. They can take more bullets, they can hit MUCH harder, and the stage design plus the sheer number of Marines will definately make you try again a couple of times. Obviously, the key word here is the distance, and the crowd control. If they manage to gang up on you -which is fairly easy for them-, they'll kill you even faster than the normal enemies. So a good strategy is to kill as many as you can from far away before enter a section, and this still doesn't mean you can waltz after Burns without any distraction. That is why I hid myself from them for relatively long time. In short: don't let any of them flee away, or else the scriptedly appearing Marines AND the remaining forces are gonna make you pregnant with bullets. Strangely, the LFE Gun is an excellent choice for this battle, as it can kill Marines even when you're not point-blank close to them.
As for Burns, he seems to be an easy target for the majority of the fight, but he'll become faster in the last area, so don't stay behind cover for long, keep moving as usual. Altough this video doesn't show, but Burns has an attack that requires QTE for escape from it: Burns will use his mechanic arm (which can be launched for long distances), grabs your head with it, and tries to smash it. If you fail the QTE, your head will be crushed, so it can be considered a one-hit-kill attack.
