Vanquish Boss Run - Part 2
Boss Notes:
BIA:
Talk about challenging enemies: this type is propably the most dangerous enemy in the bunch, due to it's high HP/defense, killer attacks, and fairly high mobilty. The AR gauge is your primary lifesaver here, simply because the BIA can handle your sorry butt in a blink of the eye. Mainly that's the reason why I wanted to saw it's spine desperately: the AR gauge can refill a little whilst Sam is buchering the poor bugger. However any kind of meelee attack is prohibited for this fight, as the BIA can cancel it easly enough. My multi-hit at the end was pure luck.
Jamming Device:
Similar to the Bogey, this (sub)boss is more annoying than hard, even though the reinformentes can still kill you fairly easily. The Rocket Launcher and the Assault Rifle are a must weapons. RL for the cannon turrets, and the AR for the cannons and the core. The HMG can be useful too, but it has a limited range compared to the AR. The LFE Gun is useful too against the apperaing Gorgie reinforments, but you have to shoot them point-blank with it.
Buzzard (1):
A little drop in difficulity, it's only dangerous attack is the blue laser, as it renders you into emergency-AR an instant. The rockets however aren't a big deal, as you shoot down the most of them, but it's fairly rare they can render into near-dead state. The boss has one always accessable, and one not-so exposed weak point: you can shoot either the blue light on it's forehead, or it's butt, but as I said, you can't land as much hit on it's butt as on it's head. And the monorail? It can take quite a few punches on Normal, so you don't have to rush.
UNKNOWN (1):
One of my favourite enemies of the game, it has that "cute, yet deadly" vibe that I like on dangerous enemies. It's weak point is it's core, which is not always exposed, but sometimes he does the "chrismas tree" stance, giving you a good chance to shoot the hell out of it with the HMG. Of course you can weaken it, by blasting a few Shotgun shot on it. Soon the surrounding scrap will fall down, giving you another chance. But careful, if it "blooms", and the core is flashing for a second, it means it's about to perform it's "fatality" move, which is quite... painful, even to watch.
