Variable Animation Framerate Test
Normally I animate at 20fps exclusively, but really any gun beyond a 600rpm fire rate (10 rounds per second) is not going to get an accurate fire rate displayed. The XM8 which fires at 750rpm (12.5 rounds per second) is a gun that I could not display the fire rate of at 20fps animation.
Since a firing cycle in animation for me isn't really hard, I thought I could try a little trick. Disable tweening at a firing animation in an animation that is 20fps tweened and animate at 60fps No tween, while for stuff other than rapid fire, go back to 20fps tween.
I can do this mid project by simply going to frame settings and disabling tween on that frame on until the firing stops. This of course gets more complicated with stuff going on in the background. (Add tweened frame fix that.) While I still animate at 20fps, I can dip my hands into 60fps with full control over the animation speed for when I need a gun to fire absurdely quick.
That's all this quick test is.
