For the longest time, video games have struggled to represent death and the impact death has on others. Finally, we have a video game where every single kill is presented as a choice and choosing to kill will lead you down a dark and lonely path.

Undertale deserves all of the praise it has gotten, and stands as a landmark achievement in video game storytelling. Everything, even your decision to save and reset the game and even the moment you decide to stop playing, is justified in the narrative.
