VidMe Shuts Down - A "New YouTube" is not possible, nor the solution (News & Rant)
255So VidMe, the small-time video sharing site turned pseudo YouTube competitor has announced that they're shutting down as of December 15. You have until then to view and export any of your content. New users and uploads cannot be made.
This isn't remotely surprising, I'm just kind of sad that they took this route instead of doing something different and more sustainable.
