Hey guys, Ghost here and this is a basic/somewhat intermediate guide on a topic of my choosing.

Happy new year guys! I hope the holidays treated you well.

Today I'm going to discuss a point that was missed in my previous videos that I thought was pretty important. Smash attack detection that I talked about in part 1 will be slightly revisited with the addition to SP gains during blocking, information courtesy of Edelweiss.

I want to make sure I cover SP gains for blocking. I also want to show you what block DOESN'T give you SP. Because later down the road it WILL be pretty vital to manage your SP for shield bashs, which not only helps you with breakoffs and stuns, but it temporarily makes you invincible to ANY attack including GRABS (think Siglint and Glas). You'd use it when you know you can't escape an attack in time.

I'll also discuss how to properly Rank 9 Guard with a small shield. This is a bit tricky to actually discuss so make sure you just rewatch the examples to get a general feel.
