The third installment in the series shares many traits in common with its predecessor but adds others: first and foremost, the division of matches between first and second half as well as the addition of refereecards, at least necessary since it was missing in the previous two games; the lack of them, especially in Virtua Striker 2, often reduced matches to a continuous making of fouls once a player had scored the first goal.

However, the severity of the referees is very high, and it is not uncommon for a foul committed early in a match to result in a direct red card. More generally, a very good proportion of fouls are punished severely, and it is not uncommon for matches in Virtua Striker 3 to end with at least one player out of the field, if not more. Randomly you may encounter a less severe referee who almost never extreme the red card

F.C Sega is The real easter egg of secret teams, formed by SEGA employees and the game's creators themselves.
To play with it, the trick is not that hard: At the team selection screen, just “light up” and press Start on a specific sequence of nations, namely, France, Cameroon, Spain, England, Germany and Argentina.
If you execute the correct combination you'll be able to play as F.C Sega, the “corporate” soccer formation.

Do to that fact that they are a "secret" bonus team if you complete the game with one credit, they do not have a match versus a special team, so their game is over after the grand final.
