Still holds up to today, people!

Virtua Tennis is a arcade tennis simulation, created by Sega AM-3 (now known as Hitmaker Co, Ltd) as you had through a set of matches in a tournament. This was released in 1999 but got a Dreamcast port in 2000 which followed ports for PC and Gameboy Advance in 2002 and 2003 respectively.

The console port was further expanded with the addition of World Circuit which allows the player to participate in different tournaments around the world, rise through the ranks as you start at 300 (it ain't easy!) and the relatively fun training exercises! Once you complete any one, the level goes up (the difficulty level cranks up a notch!) along with more additions will unlock!

Despite having a combination of fun and realism, Sega did manage to get some actual tennis players such as Tim Henman (Great Britain), Cedric Pioline (France), Jim Courier (United States), Carlos Moya (Spain), Mark Phillippousis (Australia), Thomas Johansson (Sweden) and Vevgeny Kafelnikov (Russia).

To be fair, Sega back in the day knew how to add fun to sports games which a lot of current game developers should take note on! On certain times, I usually play this and don't get bored of it. However, if you want to go old school....have a go at it!

Hope you enjoyed the intro/video and stay tuned for more!
