Vive Wireless Test II with the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
#BeatSaber #ビートセイバー #VirtualMotionCapture
Testing the Vive Pro with the Vive Wireless Adapter, this time with the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X CPU with 12 cores and 24 threads. I am still using the nVidia GTX 980 Ti from my last computer for now and still using LIV, Streamlabs OBS, Virtual Motion Capture to record Beat Saber.
Much, much smoother, but it's surprising that it still taxes 60% over all of the CPU. This is the fastest consumer grade CPU out on the market today and it means wireless VR is very hard to encode at the higher Vive Pro or Valve Index resolutions. We will need FOVeated rendering to help cut down on the resolution required for VR.
