Could it be that this entire fiasco is the result not of human error or even a lack of understanding of Fair Use law, but of a flawed and incompetent Content ID algorithm? Could it be that, despite having exchanged numerous emails with YouTube "support" over the last 48 hours, I have yet to interact with an actual person, and have received nothing more than yet more algorithmically generated form responses? Yes. Yes, I believe it could be.
TL/DR: YouTube/Google has overstepped the bounds of their own flawed arguments, and either do not recognize or do not understand Fair Use law; old news, sure, but I will always take them to task for it when it affects this channel. What's more is that they seem content to rest upon the judgments and rulings of a fatally flawed system, the little man be damned.
