Von Kaiser - Jetpacks (Audio)
Founded in 2018, Von Kaiser is a collection of three musicians who don’t just want to remember the music, movies and video games of the 1980s, they want to celebrate it. With their debut album “Landline”, Von Kaiser has created a vocal synthwave album that travels between the darkness of post apocalyptic futures, the innocence of high school prom dances, and the freedom of cruising the open road.
Lyrics:
We Grew up with posters on our walls, the Pepsi generation, thought we'd seen it all.
Brightly lit future with flying cars and we'd all be super stars.
Energy is endlessly, entertaining us violently.
Commercials play on TV, and nothing was ever free.
We were young, we were full of it, we had it down and stayed silent.
We worked hard; we were self aware, made mistakes that land us anywhere,
With corded phones and tape machines, you could do anything, if you just believed.
Commercials play on TV, and nothing was ever free.
Time flies, so fast in an instant flash, I could drive all night going anywhere,
Life moves so fast like an instant flash, I could fly all night going everywhere.
He was the kid everyone would tease, he wore old clothes and fake Nikes.
He liked computers and Atari games, always wanted friends but kids can be mean.
He played the keyboard, loved the music scene, formed a band that we all pay to see.
It's funny how people see all the rockstars on MTV.
