Ⓦ Xenosaga Ep. 1 Walkthrough - Part 2 ▪ Exploring the Woglinde [PCSX2/1080p]
If you're playing this game for the first time, I'd highly recommend consulting this guide regarding the emails while going through:
http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps2/519264-xenosaga-episode-i-der-wille-zur-macht/faqs/18956
The emails tend to have strict timing/location requirements, but the rewards are well worth the minor inconvenience of keeping on top of said requirements.
Also, a tip regarding Tech Point investment:
Typically, the first thing you want to put your Tech Points in is the SPEED of the Tech Attack(s) that you're going to be using the most (then set them in a HI slot so you can use them every turn), followed by its WAIT.
After that; rather than investing in the Tech's attack power, go to Characters➜Use T.Pts and put your points in EDEF and VIT, then EATK (and/or possibly STR, depending on how you're using the character), then EVA and DEX.
It's pointless to invest in your early Techs' attack power, as boosting EATK/STR will also increase your damage output, and you won't have wasted a bunch of points on an inferior Tech when you get your best ones later in the game. If you end up with a significant surplus of T.Pts later in the game after you have your best techs, *then* it wouldn't be such a bad idea to boost their power some.
Anyways, the max you can raise a stat is equal to whoever has the highest in that stat. Once you have multiple characters synced to the max for a stat, they can sort of leap frog off each other each time one of them levels up (since the max will be raised at that point). So, not only do characters who start off weak (e.g. MOMO) benefit a lot from raising stats, but characters who start off with better stats (e.g. KOS-MOS) will also eventually end up with better stats than they normally would had you not raised stats at all.
Of course, you don't have to kill yourself over trying to stagger everyone's level-ups and such for the absolute best increases. You'll see more than enough benefit from this approach simply by boosting stats whenever you can.
