Ⓦ Xenosaga Ep. 1 Walkthrough - Part 5 ▪ Margulis Boss Fight, Attack on the Elsa [PCSX2/1080p]
No, Cherenkov; it's totally not creepy at all when you stand over an unconscious girl while breathing heavily and holding a gun. D=
And how does Shion climb down a ladder while carrying a tray loaded with a plate of curry and a cup of water without spilling the contents? The world may never know.
Some notes about this part:
- You don't have to win against Margulis, but it's really not that hard if you followed my advice in the last video and have Ziggy's Bodyguard ether+Cyber Kick in a HI slot. Consider having MOMO guard early on (or use two items) to save up 6 AP so she can use W-ITEM on a Med Kit S if Margy gets too spammy with Hell's Crest.
- You can find the Disarm Key for the Elsa's slide deck in the ladies' cabin (the one closer to the dining area). Specifically, it's on the couch in the center of the room, close to the pillow. You can't see it, so you just have to mash O while running against the couch until you find it.
- Unlocking the slide deck gets you access to Decoder 10, which unlocks the Segment Address in the KOS-MOS Simulator. This gets you 2 Booster Pack items (adds 1 to target character's boost gauge when used), which will be handy in the next boss fight. Plus, they'll become less and less useful as the game goes on, so you might as well get them now.
- You can now access the drill minigame (use the Drill Passport at a save point with an EVS plate). Play Free Mode and aim for the clear orbs with the bunny dolls in them for chances at Drill Keys. Your goals are the two L doors, which net you a Guard Recovery and Fast Circuit 25 for AGWS units (I also like to grab the White Mask behind the R door, myself). Remember to save before you get too into it, so you can reload if you complete a bunch of games with no keys in sight.
- All destructible objects on the Elsa will have a different set of items while you're kicking
the enemies off the ship, so make sure you go around and destroy them all again.
- MOMO's Life Shot heals more than Shion's Medica (and is the same in terms of EP costs and such), so it's well worth it to transfer it around when everyone meets up.
