Last weekend I decided to fly the F4F-4 Wildcat in Arcade Battles. In my opinion, this plane is a real challenge to get to grips with as in comparison to other planes at its rank (rank 7), it is near redundant. The armament of six 50. caliber machine guns works well so long as you can maneuver yourself into a position where you can get off an effective firing solution.

Its turn rate is rather awkward: if you turn at speeds over 400km/h, the plane becomes unstable and hard to keep under control. Meanwhile at speeds of 250km/h or less, the turn rate becomes very slow. I aimed to try and fly the plane in the same manner as I would the F6F-3 Hellcat, and in this Ground Strike battle on Green Ridge, I just managed to pull off the Ace!

I must admit however, this plane is quite durable as you will see in this video.
