Warframe The 101 Part 10: Kuva Lich Starter Guide
The next part of the 101 series is for how to go about creating and killing a Kuva Lich.
One of the most difficult events to do, but one of the best ways to get high powered weapons in the game. You can start this by finishing The War Within questline.
To spawn a Lich you need to go to any planet that has Grineer enemies at levels 20+ to start off (I do the Exterminate mission node on Saturn called Telesto since you can fight up to 100+ enemies).
When you kill enough of them, the screen will flash yellow, when that happens you need to continue eliminating them. When you kill enough of them you will get a transmission from one of the queens guards and a special marker to guide you to the Larvling.
When you down the larvling you will see a hologram of the weapon the larvling has. If its one you like hold the interact button/key to finish off the enemy and you will receive a second transmission about the Kuva Lich viability. Finish the mission and the Lich is created.
In your arsenal, go the your Parazon weapon slot (The last option). You mod this that same way you mod weapons/Frames. The requiem mods are extremely obvious to find. Put these in the top slots of your Parazon. When you down a Lich in a mission (They are more likely to spawn the more their rage bar fills and resets when you can finish them and their rank goes up by 1 each unsuccessful engagement maxing at 5) you can assassinate them. If you are unsuccessful, the Lich will flee and Gain large amount of murmurs (A hidden resource needed to figure out how to sever a Lich's continuity).
Side Note: I highly recommend not attempting this event until you have all 8 requiem mods since you need them to vanquish a Lich. You can receive these from requiem relics the same way you open void relics, but in special missions. You can get these relics from killing Thralls (Lich soldiers(has a small chance to drop off them)) or doing daily missions. One mission is guaranteed to drop a requiem. This is the only way to get them outside of trading for them.
Side side Note: Each Frame has a element and the Warframe that kills the larvling (example: Ember) will have the element of that frame that kills it along with any abilities from it. In this case, the element will fire, because Ember is the Warframe of fire.
When doing a Lich make sure the element you want is on a frame that complements the weapon.
Example: You kill a larvling that has a Kuva Nukor. You want to get a frame that has the Radiation element to boost the damage of radiation. In this case pick Octavia to spawn the lich. You can use any frame after to kill the Lich. You don't need to be the frame that created it to finish it off.
When finishing off a Lich you have 2 choices: You can kill the Lich and obtain the weapon for yourself or you can spare the Lich and they will be a permanent ally when the fight becomes too much with the abilities it has when you befriend them. Naturally you want the weapon, so vanquish the Lich and claim your prize.
The great thing is you don't need resources to build the weapon. You can find it in the forge ready to be claimed.
Summary: Obtain requiem relics to get the mods, mod your Parazon, find a level 20+ mission (Any will do), Kill until the screen turns yellow, kill some more, assassinate the larvling, Complete missions on the occupied planet(s). The Lich may spawn in the mission, you finish them off the same way you kill Thralls. When the Lich is about to be killed you can spare or kill them, make your choice and finish the mission like normal. Any resources the Lich took which while on said planet (called Taxes) will all be given back in full.
